31.CLEAN_IT_UP

 

Imagine for a moment that there is a loudspeaker connected to your thought stream, amplifying out each of your thoughts ‘live’, for all to hear. Not just some of them. Not just the ones you perceive to be ‘good’, or the ones you cherry pick to sound as you would have yourself be heard by another, but ALL of them. Every last thought that rolls through on a moment to moment basis………………

The thoughts that are dull, the thoughts that are tedious. The thoughts that judge, the thoughts that blame. The thoughts that compare, the thoughts that compete. The frantic ones, the chaotic ones. The tiresome monotonous ones, and the mean self-destructive ones. What if EVERY one of your thoughts was really being heard by the ears of another?

There are some that seem to loop around and around, never going anywhere, yet always caught trying. There are those that meander, just thinking for thinking, getting lost along the way. There are those that are a barrage of attack on others, mean and hard, critical and unforgiving. And there are those that are like tiny ‘cuts’ to our own selves, reprimanding and abusing our very own hearts…………………

STOP.

PAUSE.

CLEAN them up.

ALL of them.

You DO have the choice about the ‘furniture’ with which you choose to decorate your internal landscape . . . You DO have the choice, and it IS more important that you might suppose. Just because you cannot see the lead that runs from your thoughts to the imagined loudspeaker, just because it doesn’t seem as though anyone is really listening in on your internal verbiage, your thoughts ARE being heard.

 

YOU are hearing, YOU are listening (when that is you pause for long enough to listen)……… AND, your thoughts extend out, far beyond the limitations of your perceived Self, colouring and reshaping your experience in every Now moment. Are these truly the quality and tone of words that you wish to be sharing with your ‘ears’, on and on? Are these honestly the thoughts that you believe to be true? Are these really the thoughts that you wish to inform your experience in this very Now?

 

LISTEN more closely to the words which you are choosing. Cease the polluting of your ‘mind’scape, and clean it up, again and again and again.

 

Become aware of the repetitions of thoughts. Become aware of the deep grooves you fall in to so habitually. Become aware of the negative interpretations, or the guilty projectionsBecome aware of what you ARE thinking, and then choose again.

 

Choose to allow space for stillness. Choose to allow space of the silence.

As if you were polishing a light (because you are), make calmer, kinder, more loving, more peaceful thoughts your priority — for you, and for others. Without judgement of thoughts that have gone before, without concocting fake ones, allow each thought that comes to come from the stillness and peace of looking anew — To come from the stillness and peace that brings forward the quiet.

 

 

Listen to your thoughts, with a willgness to clean each of them up, to shine each of them up, and to radiate each of them out?
