22.HOW

 

It’s clear at times that if we could just let go of that thing we’re holding on to so forcibly, that we would feel calmermore peacefulmore at ease………… and yet, we’re at a complete loss as to how?

 

+ How to let go of a certain pattern that plays out over and over in almost exactly the same way, even though people and places appear to change.

+ How to let go of a particular repetitive thought that keeps spinning around like an endlessly playing record, the needle stuck on repeat.

+ How to let go of an emotion, a feeling, be it anger or anxiety, fear or frustration, insecurity or impatience – there seems to be ‘no way out’.

+ How to let go of a situation that appears to be keeping us held, unable to move – unable to know freedom.

+ Or maybe, just how to let go, full stop.

 

That thing that we are holding to seems so familiar to us now, so familiar that we just don’t know how to let go anymore. If we knew, then we would of course . . . in an instantWe would.

 

Take a pause. A long PAUSE.

 

And so, ” How? ”

 

The answer. The answer is Love.

 

Ask – How can I love my Self more in this moment?

 

Instead of attempting to figure out whatever it is you’ve been trying to figure out all this time. Instead of placing yet more attention on to it, gripping yet more firmly on to it with bullet hard focus, soften your ‘gaze’ and be willing to open to Love.

You already know that the excessive thinking keeps you stuck, you already tried that way remember. Instead of a ‘but how?’ hopelessness, a giving up, a resignation to the seeming ‘fact’ that it’s always going to be this way, that you are always going to be this way . . . Instead of feeling as if you are caught in a dead end with ‘no way out’, SEEif only for a moment, if you can be willing to rest your attention elsewhere. Just see if you can be willing to rest your attention in to the space of this question, more – How can I love my Self more in this moment? And then watch as it expands.

And if in asking this question you feel selfish, or uncomfortable, or it makes you want to cringe…… then notice this, pause, and come back to the question in this new moment. How can I love my Self more in this moment?

 

As you love yourself MORE, you will find that the way you choose to be, the way you find yourself being, WILL change . . .  You will find yourself doing things differently, thinking things differently, saying things differently, RESPONDING to things differently. That pattern, that thought, that feeling, that situation . . . well, just see. See for yourself.

 

You have the choice in EVERY moment. It is that simple.

 

As you become more willing to recognise the presence of Love that you ARE, you will feel more and more loving in all of your actions, in all of your thoughts . . . It will pause your habitual ways, your habitual patterns, and give you the breathing space to choose anew.

As you love you, you will find your Self BEING the presence of Love for all those that are around you . . . and as you do this, you will effortlessly allow others to do the same.
