You know that moment when you walk past someone in the street, and you have a thought… a judgement… well in those moments, see if you can catch yourself and LEAN towards Love.
So maybe it’s a thought about a person you’re close to . . . or maybe not so close, maybe you’ve never even met. Maybe the judgement is towards yourself . . . maybe it’s one around your body. You know the judgements I’m talking about here . . . They’re the ones that leave a bitter taste, the ones that you’re pleased no one else is listening to.
When a less then savoury thought comes up, hear it, and just be willing to lean. Keep it that simple.
If the language isn’t doing it for you, make use of whatever words do work. Lean towardskindness. Lean towards calm. Lean towards laughter. Lean towards peace. Lean towardssoftening. Lean towards openness. Lean towards a smile . . . Whatever words feels good for you, just LEAN. Even just a tiny bit.
O, and before I write any more — don’t go judging yourself for having the judgement in the first place, because then we’re just back to square one!
Remember, you are already leaning towards somewhere when the thought comes up. See if you can catch yourself next time, and just be WILLING to lean towards a slightly more loving perspective.
