The magnificence of another.
How often do we stand before another with a running commentary ‘veiling‘ our vision?
How often do we stand before another, meticulously assessing, judging and comparing?
AND HOW OFTEN, really, DO WE STAND BEFORE ANOTHER AND JUST SEE THE MAGNIFICENCE OF THEIR UNIQUE BEING?
Clearing away who we ‘think‘ we are seeing, AND who we ‘think‘ is seeing — Pausing to appreciate WHAT REALLY IS?
It may seem easier to see the magnificence of some, then to see it of others . . . It may indeed feel as though there is a strong resistance with some, and an easeful joy with others.
Just notice this.
When (if) seeing the magnificence of the Being before you seems virtually impossible, seems quite inconceivable, or even seems laughably false, then, then is your beautiful reminder to pause, and rest in to stillness.
Maybe you will rest a moment, maybe you will rest a while longer . . . just recognise as you pause, that it is not that the magnificence of Being is not present in this moment, it is that you are not willing, not ready to see clearly, just yet.
KNOW however, that the magnificence is ALWAYS present (and always really does mean always).
You are not trying to ‘believe yourself in to‘ the magnificence of another … most certainly not. You are simply pausing hardened habitual thinking, allowing space, and really being willing to see, honestly and clearly, the Being that is before you ……….. in ALL of their unique magnificence.
Without expectation, MARVEL at what comes forth. Be in AWE at the way another being shows up, recognising that it is the fictional expectation that is less then magnificent, not the reality.
Be curious to see the magnificence of EVERY Being.
Be curious to recognise that their uniqueness is a gift to ALL.
And WOW … Be curious to know just how magnificent you truthfully are too.
