You can stand there all day long, staring in to the oven until the cookies have ‘risen‘, or you can simply take your hands off, step back, and allow the divine cookies to cook in their own time!!
Whilst it may feel that we need to ‘push‘ life along, almost as though pushing uphill some broken-down old car — it simply does not work that way — it simply is not that way.
YOU ARE LIFE, and no matter how ‘hard you try‘, life will, IS, always moving through you.
You can choose to squeeze the life out of life, making demands at every seeming turn as to how,what, when, or whom ……. or you can relax a little more, take your hands off, and lovingly bear witness to the awesome unfolding of all that is.
Rather then feverishly corralling the wave (as if that were even possible) — just riding with the movement, allowing life to surprise and delight you.
We may at some moment have learned something along the lines of ‘making life happen‘ —battering doors down, forcing our way through, chasing the tailcoats of life, demanding that we get — however this is simply a learned way of being, and BEING is not learned …….. it just IS.
There is no implication here of doing nothing, of ‘giving up‘ ………….. simply the recognition of the movement of life ‘doing‘ you, BEING you, and the willingness to give it up.
Just like you would not plant a row of carrots and then keep on pulling them out of the ground to see if they had ‘bloomed‘ — why the need to pull and push things around before life has brought them to bloom in its own time? You KNOW that the carrots will grow with a little love … so just you stop meddling, and TRUST that the seeds are planted, and with a little love will reveal in their own time.
Trust, that you are held in the loving embrace of whatever brought you in to Being.
Trust, that as you take your hands off, that life will reveal all that is necessary for your perfect unfoldment.
