THE SPACE (BETWEEN).

15.THE_SPACE_BETWEEN

You know those unknown times when you feel like you are in between one thing and another? The marginally (or overwhelmingly) chaotic times, when you’re not sure if you’re coming or going, when you’re not sure whether to step left or right . . . the times when you just don’t know

Maybe you are making a decision between ‘this’ and ‘that’, and at the moment you are hovering in ‘no man’s land’. Maybe you are about to step away from something, and move in to _____ (fill in the unknown blank – you know you’re moving in to something, it’s just that it hasn’t become clear yet). Or maybe you are experiencing a time of “I don’t know right now“, and nothing feels quite like the thing.

Sometimes it feels as though we are dropping between, and that if we don’t hold on to something, one side or the other, that we WILL fall. It can feel as though we are literally falling between the cracks, and as we tumble, grappling to hold on in this claustrophobic, tight crevice, everything feels conflicted, noisy, frustrating, and just plain uncomfortable… you know the feelings.

Well in these times, times that we ALL experience, can we begin to see that they are THE SPACE BETWEEN? The space that opens out before clarity rises up, and as such equally valuable to any supposed ‘place’. We all too often focus the importance on to the moments, because they feel so much more comfortable, they feel so much more stable, they just feel a lot better. The space between though, IS the space between the moments where clarity is able to bubble up . . . and all together, the spaces and the moments, they are one WHOLE complete picture.

Remind yourself that without the space between, there is no space in to which clarity can rise. The space is unlimited, wide-open, and brimming with possibility, IF we shift our attention and allow ourselves to see.

Instead of the frustration around not having clarity, can we ask ourselves how can I allow for more space in this moment…?”

What if, instead of holding to the seemingly known edges, you rest in to this unknown space and allow clarity to come in its own timeWhat if, you shift from seeing a closed grey confined crevice, to seeing an open unknown animated space, through which clarity WILL riseWhat if, instead of focusing on the flickering moments, you step back, and recognise that we are ALWAYS moving in the space between.

TRUST. You cannot fall.
