WORDS SPEAK.

Words … Every day there are words. Every moment (almost), there seem to be words.

Whether spoken ‘out’, or voiced ‘within’, words are oftentimes the quiet accompaniment – and sometimes not so quiet – through our days.

There are loud ones, and brash ones. Kind ones, and gentle ones. Muddled ones, and confused ones. Honest ones, and true ones.

Words … We ‘speak’ them every day (almost).

Yet.

How often do we hear clearly the undertone of the words that trip across our tongues, that jump forth from our mouths, that echo and ‘speak’ loudly (and quietly) in our minds … ?

How often do we pause the thought, and look anew at the words we choose to place before ourselves, before another, before this moment … ?

If we would SEE our words, would we choose the same … ? If we would SEE our words as forms, undertones included, would we choose to surround ourselves with these ones … ?

– Somehow we let the noise of words be present in our minds, without pause to know that there may be a different way.

– Somehow we let the words trip forth from our tongues, without remembering that we have chosen to set each one alight.

– Somehow we let words ‘speak’, without owning that it is WE that has propelled them forth.

Beyond the dictionary definition of every word that utters forth, there is an undertone from which it speaks. Each word soaked, infused, permeated, with the tone from which it has arisen, ‘speaking’ louder then we imagine, voicing ‘louder’ the unique intention from which it was given forth.

We may not SEE the silent whispers behind the words, but they DO have voice, and you DO have a choice.

There are no ‘bad‘ words, there are no ‘good‘ words, only the thought of them … Each word is an offering, carrying forth from the space from which it was uttered, bringing forth an offering of love, or an offering of fear.

Can we pause the mean words that reprimand us ‘in our heads’?

Can we pause the seemingly sweet utterances, cloaked over malicious undertones?

Can we pause speaking words that place us ‘above‘ or ‘below‘ another?

Can we pause the reckless car-crash of words that tumble ‘out‘, and instead, choose again?

Cleaning up one luscious word at a time, choosing kindly, choosing with care, choosing with love. Paying attention to the words that leave a bitter after-taste in our mouths, long after they have tripped across our tongues, long after they have been witnessed by another. Paying attention to the landscape of words that we choose to surround ourselves and others with . . . cleaning them up, one luscious word at a time.

Pause a moment, and polish your words. Pause a moment, and let each word speak forth from a well-spring of Unconditional Love.
